Step 1.)
In this tutorial l will show you how to create a shatter background that looks great in signature/banner backgrounds. This is a very easy technique that is used all over the place on message boards these days.
1.) start a new document of any size, l'm using 500x500 and fill the background with black (#000000).
Step 2.)
Go to: Filter->Render->Difference Clouds.
Press CTRL + F on your keyboard 3 times to repeat the filter three times.

| Flare Effect
Create a simple flare effect, that gives an outer-space experience.

The First Chapter - Starting it:
1. Open up Photoshop
2. Make a new document, 350 x 120, background white (thats what I use)
3. Pick out your most distinctive and favourite brushes.
4. Make a background with your favourites
5. Add a little bit of landscape with a good distinctive brush
6. Image>Adjustments>Brightness/Contrast
7. Choose a main colour background with an adjustment layer
The Second Chapter - The Flare:
1. Create a new layer
2. Open up the Crown Fractal brushes
3. Choose the 1st or second brush and the angle you want it at and put the colour on white
4. Click ONCE, only once!
5. Create another layer, on top of this one and put the blending option on linear light
6. Pull out your next colour for your flare, contrasting or complimenting, it doesn't matter too much, just make sure its light
7. Choose the 3rd brush and start to brush the flare
The Third Chapter - The Stars:
1. Create yet another new layer
2. Open up the Shine on Star brushes
3. Put the primary colour on white and just click a few times near the tip of the flare.
The Final Chapter - Finishing it:
1. The border. new layer
2. Press ctrl+a or if you have some sort of illness preventing you from pressing two buttons at the same time go into select and click all
3. Go into Edit>stroke and put the settings on width 1 px, colour black and location inside. Ignore the rest
4. finish it off with text
5.You're done!

| Alright here we are going to make a very simple yet, effective set of light rays for you to put in a header, border, or what ever it is you would like.
All right so start by creating a 500x500 px new image, resolution 72 and RGB colors. And now fill the background, black.
STEP 1: Now create a new layer and then take your brush tool, select a round shape size 9, color white and make it harder, but it doesn’t really matter though. Now Scribble.

Hi, I was thinking of writing some tutorial that deals with grunge, darkness, horror. Then I come up with an idea of making a poster against Terrorism. Well this tutorial is not a beginner tutorial. Please proceed if you have a decent knowledge of Photoshop, at least you should know how to apply vector mask. In this tutorial I am not going to explain all the steps, but give more stress on why

 Ok this tut is a simple one. It will introduce you to the use of blend modes and filters.... so open up photoshop and get going
1. Open a new canvas (ctrl+N). For this tut I am going to use width-400(px) and height-400(px) with resolution 72(pixels/inch). Make sure u set the mode to RGB Color. I am setting the contents to 'white'.
2. Make a new layer (shift+ctrl+N). Get the Paint Bucket Tool(G). Sometimes the gradient tool comes up so cimply right click it and select the paintbucket tool.
