I wanted to offer up something simple, yet you see it everywhere and thats your
typical "mask" effect.
I've found this forum to be a great resource myself so i wanted to contribute something.
I made this rather quickly a few weeks ago, came across it this morning and realized I never put it up.
Thers no audio my aplogies, but its a pretty basic run threw so if you miss something just pause and step threw the video untill you can catch what im doing.
I would normally include audio but in this case it would just increase the file size and this is a relitively simple task, not needing tooo much explaination.
This example combines a mask and a distortion transformation in relitively basic fashion to achieve an effect that looks a bit more complicated than it really is..
You will need the download the video as we'll as the codec or you will not be able to view

This is another Fire/Flame Effect but this time is made purely in Swishmax. I wasn’t able to really perfect the flame but it’ll pass for a look-alike (I think) :D . Also, I dunno if I explained this tutorial well.. and if so just download the SWI

In the above code you have made one input box and its variable name is inputVar and one dynamic text box and its variable name is dynVar. Made on buttons and on its action we used the aboce code. Now this code will check the string (means the text you write) if it is "Ali"
then in Dynamic TEXT box (dynVar) it will display "Administrator", the same if the string is
"Charly" it will display "Moderator". After comparing all else if structure, if there are no
matches then it will display "Guest" in the dynamic text box.

This tutorial demonstrates you how to load entire text file, even if it does not contain any variable, but you can still assign the loaded data to some swish max variable. This will also display the total bytes of the text file.
This tutorial is based on Object 'loadVars()' not Function 'loadVariables()'
